Rubber Mat Air Pressure Demonstration (Gompita-kun)

Description

Gompita-kun loosely translates as ‘Sticky Rubber Boy’! Students can gain an appreciation of how heavy the atmospheric pressure is when they try to lift this mat. When placed on a smooth surface such as a table or similar it is a challenge to pull it up! Size of the rubber mat is approximately 900 square cm, which means it is held down by air weighing 900kg.
